- To ensure desired outcomes of our animal intervention therapy and friendship program.

- To ensure volunteers are aware of our expectations.
- To ensure their rights and reponsibilities are detailed for them.

Caring Canine Companions
|
- To ensure all dogs visiting under our program have the correct. temperament and are suitable in every way to access residents in aged care nursing homes and hostels.

Volunteer Support and Recognition
|
- To provide appropriate support for volunteers as required.
- To encourage group support by interaction between our volunteers.
- To acknowledge the commitment and dedication of our volunteers both within our group and club and as much as possible throughout the wider community.
- To ensure appropriate insurance is in place to cover our volunteers.
- When successful at assessment, volunteers are provided a Certificate for their dogs.
- We make every endeavour to recognise the commitment and dedication of our volunteers both in the public arena and amongst peers.
- We provide badged polo shirts and windcheaters for our volunteers
- We provide leads, collars and medallions for our CARING CANINE COMPANIONS
- We provide a badged waist bag for our volunteers to use when visiting (to carry tidbits and car keys etc)
- We have a special Christmas Lunch to acknowledge a year's volunteering well done.
